This is the clutch release bearing that was used starting in 1971. It also includes the clips to attach it to the release lever. It's cheap insurance to replace this bearing while you have things apart.
This style of bearing is used in conjunction with the newer style of clutch pressure plate. The two are not interchangeable. The matching pressure plate to this bearing has only fingers where the bearing mates up and not the ring found on the earlier style pressure plate.
